IMMEDIATE OPENINGS IN YOUR AREA. This is a perfect position for a retiree or an individual wanting to supplement their income.
An observer is trained to monitor, tally and record all commercial fish catches. Duties include: determine the weight of fish by species unloaded at dockside, verify scale accuracy, inspect vessel to ensure all fish have been unloaded and verify completion of fishing documents.
The observer position is on an on call basis. The work is done at dockside when a fishing vessel hails in. The monitor will be present to observe the unloading of the fishing vessel and record the fish catches. Applicants must successfully complete a training course. Attendance is mandatory. TRAINING DATES TBA.
Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation and must be able to pass a federal security screen and must NOT possess of a valid commercial fishing license.
